Happy Mama Resources

The Desire Map: A Guide to Creating Goals with Soul by Danielle LaPorte

Great for moms who really want a life that is far more than going through the motions. This book will inspire you to think about different ways to formulate goals based not on external outcomes, but on how you want to feel. I found this a helpful way to think about lots of area in my life, including my mothering, my health, and my business among other areas. If you love to think about ways to live just a little bit more holistically, you’ll love this book!

Natural Birth Resources

Spinning Babies

This website is an absolute treasure! Gail Tully, a midwife, teaches moms and birth professionals alike about how to achieve an easier birth through fetal positioning. She teaches so many useful exercises and tips for women to utilize during their pregnancies to get that baby in the right position for a fast and smooth birth. Sounds amazing, right? It is!

I recommend reading through her free resources, and, if you really want to benefit from the information, doing the Daily Essentials exercises throughout your pregnancy, but especially in your 3rd trimester.

DoulaMatch

This is my favorite site to recommend for women across the country to find a doula. Not every doula is listed here, but a lot of them are! It’s a great place to start in your search to find someone to support you during your labor and birth.

Healthy Life Resources

Naturally Healthy Babies & Children Book

If you feel overwhelmed by the idea of the bundle and are just looking for a straightforward way to learn about how to care for your children and family with natural remedies all in one place, you need Naturally Healthy Babies and Children: A Commonsense Guide to Herbal Remedies, Nutrition, and Health by Aviva Romm. This is the book that I used almost exclusively to treat my kids (and my husband and myself!) when any sickness came along. The book is full of herbal recipes for teas, salves, syrups, and more that will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to care for your family naturally.

iHerb

“What’s iHerb,” you ask? Why, only my very favorite place to shop online for all things health related. I buy almost all of my supplements and things like healthy snacks, natural soaps, and protein powders from my favorite online health food store, iHerb. I looooove the convenience of shopping from home, the fast & free shipping and great customer service. But what I love most of all is the low, low prices. I get my regular herbs and supplements without a trip to the closest health food store which is a minimum 1 hour trip for me. iHerb is the greatest!

Edens Garden Essential Oils

All the brands out there selling essential oils are confusing. I get that. However, after doing some research, I’ve settled on Eden’s Garden as a really good company with great oils at a fantastic price. That’s good enough for me. I love the oils, I’ve gotten and especially love the blends, like Healthy Hero for kids or Meditation for grounded focus. Get yourself some superb oils that won’t cost you an arm and a leg from Edens Garden!
